Your website background can be various image templates provided by Blogger or you can upload a image that relates what your site is about.

The idea is to improve the look of your site for your visitors.

However I like to use images that can do the above plus communicate instantly to viewers what this site is about.

For example the image used in this video tells viewers that this site will explain how to build a website.
